These are the steps to be followedfor mounting a NTFS partition on linux, hope this is of any use to you all linux fans
step1:-
rpm -ivh dkms-* fuse-*
step2:-
useradd machbuild
step3:-
passwd -d machbuild
step4:-
mkdir /windows
fdisk -l (All drives will be displayed and select the appropriate drive from here (sda1 or sdc1)
mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /windows
